Framebar is a refreshing and stylish gathering place in history-rich Athens. It is located in the St. George Lycabettus Boutique Hotel, in the chic Kolonaki quarter. The most striking of the bar’s many redeeming qualities is the furniture.

It does not really look like furniture. It is not an end result of a rule-restricted manufacturing process, but more like a time-warp, a fluid process temporarily halted. It gives you permission to sit, although it also appears like it could morph into something else any time.

Architect Dimitris Tsigos studied at the Architectural Association School in London and went on to work at the Bar & Restaurant Project Architectural Offices , New York .
The concept behind the design was to start with usual typologies such as chairs , tables , stands and bars and to rearticulate them in continuous geometries , thus offering multi-use poly-surfaces.

The benefits of such an operation are to end up with forms that deny stereotypical pre-assignments of geometry in relation to activity but also activity in relation to time zones.
The main materials used are heat-formed starron (corrian equivalent) and the Spanish marble known as emperador.

Framebars’ beverage menu offers a wide range of mouth-watering smoothies , high energy booster juices, non alcoholic cocktails to unique cocktails such as chocolate mint martini, vodka vanilla apple sip and amaretto sparklers, all created and mixed by St. George Lycabettus’ team of finest barmen & mixologists. Whilst the new, private “ROOM” boasts its exclusive Champagne Bar.
